In Mikołajewska et al. (1997), it was mentioned as a new symbiotic binary, but the coordinates do not correspond to WRAY 16-296 but to WRAY 16-294. WRAY 16-294 seems to be a PN with a Wolf-Rayet (WR) central star, as discussed in Górny et al. (2004).
